A town house of the foundation time. The building owners, he German, she Australian of indian descent, 2 children- an international family, wanted their house designed in an Western- Eastern dialogue as central theme.

The building was a good structure but required a lot of renovation work. A new barrel vaulted roof was set upon the annex, housing the owners bedroom and a Morroccan bath.
Here we did without the cool and modern styling in favour of creating a sensuality of the indian living style and Near East exotisme married with a Western conception of plainness and esthetics. Thus we created a unique and personal living style with which the owners can perfectly identify themselves. Closing the copper folding shutters during the day creates a diffuse but by no means dark atmosphere which is typical of the Orient.
Colours like cool turquoise, glacial blue and a mild bright yellow, matching the glossy surfaces like iron and dark oiled wood, a touch of gold and silver as well as materials like Cocciopesto and Marmorina chalky plaster add ideally to the exceptional atmosphere of this house.
